Who's new at CB?
Mike Parker
Feature Writer

Every year at CB, it seems like more and more faces leave and even more new faces come to take their places. This year is hardly an exception. We have a total of six new staff members, (not including the new brothers) ranging from new teachers to new secretaries. They are: Mr. Raymond Tom, Mrs. Anne Licciardi, Mrs. Margaret Healy, Mrs. Jan Millner, Mrs. Debbie Woodsford, and Ms. Diane Heine. Among these six, five were available for an interview.

New biology and consumer chemistry teacher Mr. Raymond Tom has come to CB this year after an impressive thirteen years at UC Davis. This is his first time teaching high school, and he had this to say about his new job: "The students are very helpful to me. They are considerate and are willing to help me out while I teach."

Math teacher Mrs. Anne Licciardi has come to CB because of her love for teaching, and also because of the two years she spent at another Christian Brothers campus in Memphis, Tennessee. Mrs. Licciardi said her experience there "was so great, it helped to inspire her seeking a job here at our CB campus." So far, her comments have been nothing but positive. She proudly stated "that all her students have met her expectations and continue to be outstanding."

CB also has new members of the administrative staff hard at work. These dedicated individuals include the friendly and outgoing Mrs. Margaret Healy, a St. Francis alumnus. Mrs. Healy worked at St. Anthony's, a Catholic church, for eight years. She later decided to work for CB because of an ad she saw in the Sacramento Bee.

She likes CB a great deal, not only because of the "great learning environment", but also because of "all the familiar faces from St. Anthony's." Mrs. Healy is now working as the secretary of CB President Mr. Mark Warren.

Mrs. Debbie Woodsford is also a brand new addition to our administrative staff. After working at Jesuit for some time, she made the decision to come to CB due to a personal connection with Mr. Warren, who informed her of CB's need for a person with her skills for the position of Database Coordinator. Mrs. Woodsford is also an active radio listener and lucky phone caller - she's won "about thirty or forty" pairs of tickets for concerts and other such prizes from her favorite radio station, KNCI 105.1. One time, she even won a trip to Disneyland!

Finally, Mrs. Jan Millner is now the new receptionist in Bertram Hall. Mrs. Millner loves to "hang out with teenagers," and she took this job because of that reason exactly. Mrs. Millner's fondness for kids doesn't stop there; she also worked in the youth ministry at the Church of St. Lawrence for two years and has two sons of her own. Mrs. Millner looks forward to a great year at CB.
