Grade Point Average:
  • Gpa is calculated by finding the sum of the grade points (A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1) multiplied by the credit value of the class. The total is then divided by the number of credits attempted
  • Honors and AP courses are weighted and grade points are as follows: A=5, B=4, C=3, D=1.
  • Rank in class is based upon 9 - 12 Academic Weighted GPA.

Credits:
  • A full time student earns 35 credits per semester.
  • A senior who has previously earned 210 credits may choose to take 30 credits per semester.
  • Every student must graduate with a minimum total of 270 credits.
  • Evening college concurrent enrollment will be given equivalent credit value toward graduation.
  • Any "F" from transfer students, or a four year student at Christian Brothers, receives no credit and consequently, the course must be repeated in summer school. An "F" grade in courses such as religion, English, math, and science will normally have to be repeated with the same subject.
