Hot dancing, cold soda
Joselyn Nussbaum
Editor In Chief

On September 4th, 700 people rocked the night away at the year’s first dance. Seniors, juniors, sophomores, and freshmen alike all showed up for three hours of music and refreshments. The decorating committee, led by senior Ashley Iwafuchi, did a great job of transforming our quad into a danceable atmosphere. Christmas lights, candles, and crepe paper adorned the campus.

Said junior Sam Stefanki, "I had a heckuva time Coke-slingin’". Sam, along with many of the other student council members, devoted his three hours to serving drinks. If people got tired of getting their groove on, there was plenty of entertainment where the sodas were. Sam even made a point of sliding the cold beverages into people’s expectant palms.

Even a few sprinkles of rain couldn’t spoil the intense heat at this shin-dig. The dance was an incredible success, and was definitely one of the most exciting events so far this year. Look for the next school dance to turn up on December 5th.
