Meet your new student council

Aaron Hiers

You may be wondering who those people are that get to wear those nifty blue shirts with their names on them. Well believe it or not, those are your 1998-99 class officers.

First, let me introduce that energetic sophomore council. The class of 2001 spirit captains are the excitable duo Jean Turner and Lesley Terry. The treasurer is Kimi Chong, accompanied by secretary Ali Marks. The vice president is the charismatic Chris Warren. Last but certainly not least is the sophomore president, the Egyptian Luva Rocky Samuel.

Next, let's meet the junior class officers. The class of 2000 spirit is led by the tireless efforts of Paris "Kid" Kidd and Jennifer Havey. In charge of the junior class treasury is Patricia Williams. Keeping the council on time for their meetings is secretary Chelsea Johnson. Second in command is vice president Eva Cantu.

Leading this dedicated crew is that lord of the dance, sultan of swing, Sam Stefanki.

In charge of senior class spirit is the always eccentric Nathan Williams. Keeping a watchful eye on senior profits is treasurer Brendan McVeigh. The operations chief of the class of '99 council is secretary Lindsay Poroli. Next comes vice-president, and Senior Wall designer, Aldo Soriano. The senior class president is Aaron Hiers.

Finally, it's time to meet your Associate Student Body (ASB) officers. Taking care of your campus publicity and history is that dynamic duo, Sarah Slakey and Julie Kolch. Keeping Christian Bothers spirit under control is rally chair Joan Ingoglia.

Watching over the loot is treasurer Mike O'Brien. Next comes that master note-taker, secretary Ashley Iwafuchi. The ASB vice president is the multi-talented James Snyder. Last, but certainly not least, comes the experience of president Monroe Howard.

According to those fearless Student Activities Directors Mrs. Cecila Powers and Mr. Rolf Schumann "The student council got off to a great start, and are motivated to make the school year the best it can be."

Unfortunately the freshman will not have any representatives until after this issue goes to press, but congratulations to all of those who ran for class office.
