STUDENTS MAY ENROLL IN ONLY ONE OF THE FOLLOWING PER SEMESTER:
Library Assistant 5 Credits;
Semester
Open to Juniors and Seniors

Prerequisite: Approval of the Librarian

A course designed to expose the student to the tasks associated with the order and maintenance of the library.
Teacher Assistant 5 Credits;
Semester
Open to Juniors and Seniors

Prerequisite: Approval of instructor whom the student will assist

A course designed to allow students to assist a teacher in the preparation, correcting, and recording of assignments. Some opportunity to help or tutor other students may be available depending on the student assistant's ability and background.
Counseling Aide 5 Credits;
Semester
Open to Juniors and Seniors.

Prerequisite: Approval of the Guidance Secretary.

Students in the program assist counselors by following the office procedures of the guidance office, contributing to the supportive atmosphere of the center, and any other helping capacity necessary to the smooth functioning of guidance activities.
Office Practice 5 Credits;
Semester
Open to Juniors and Seniors.

Prerequisite: Approval by the School Receptionist and the Dean of Students.

The student is provided on-location training in office equipment, procedures, communications, clerical skills and responsibilities, etiquette.
Attendance Office Aide 5 Credits;
Semester
Open to Juniors and Seniors.

Prerequisite: Approval by the Attendance Secretary and the Dean of Students.

Students enrolled as attendance aides will assist the attendance office in the collection and posting of the school's attendance. Students will also be trained in office procedures, communications, etiquette, and attitudes.
Audio-Visual Assistant 5 Credits;
Semester
Open to Juniors and Seniors.

Prerequisite: Approval by the Audio-Visual Coordinator.

This service course provides students an opportunity to learn the basic functions of audio-visual equipment, video tape and camera recording, and general equipment servicing. Other responsibilities include filing and organizing audio-visual sign-out information, and film and slide, audio-visual, and video tape catalogue information.
