course is similar in content to Spanish I. Topics will be addressed in-depth, with an
attempt to master them at a higher level than the regular Spanish I course. Accelerated
Spanish is intended for college-preparatory students with the desire to fulfill college
requirements by taking the Advanced Placement Exam in the senior year. Fulfills U.C.
"e" and C.S.U. subject requirement. |

course is a continuation of the first year of Spanish. It is less intense and is modified

and an intense effort to improve communication skills. In addition, there are readings in
history and literature, with the goal of increasing vocabulary and sight-reading skills.

Honors Spanish III |

This is
the third year of the accelerated program preparing students for the Spanish Advanced
Placement Examination in the senior year. Emphasis is placed on completing the basic
grammar, as well as intensive work on furthering the writing, speaking, listening, and
reading skills of the student. Fulfills U.C. "f" and C.S.U. elective
requirement. |

Spanish
IV focuses on continued grammar study and development of listening and speaking skills, as
well as in-depth reading and writing development. Students completing this course should

This is
an honors course and is an intense and in-depth program preparing students to take the
College Board Advanced Placement Examination at the end of the year. A final review of
grammar is included, as well as consistent development of the reading, writing, listening,
and speaking skills. Fulfills U.C. "f" and C.S.U. elective requirement. |
